Gateway Hemophilia is teaming up with the Cardinal Glennon Hemophilia Treatment Center for a hemophilia genotype event. This is part of the My Life Our Future initiative. Knowing your genotype can tell you if you are a carrier for hemophilia or not. It will also tell you the genetic code that caused your family’s hemophilia. The event will be held at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital Bob Costas Center on July 19th from 4-7 pm. In order to keep your waiting time to a minimum, you must sign up for an appointment. First or second degree relatives (sisters, mothers, grandmothers or aunts) of someone with hemophilia A or B can participate. All age groups are welcome. You will have your blood drawn for your genotype and if you would like you can also participate in the research arm of the study. If you do not already know the genotype of the person in your family with hemophilia, or that family member is not already participating in My Life Our Future, the family member with hemophilia MUST also agree to have their genotype checked on July 19. Please contact the Cardinal Glennon HTC for an appointment time and for any other questions 314 577-5332. Flyer  My Life our Future logo
